Very strange experience. I applied for a remote position which seemed well aligned with my experience. About a week later, a manager of the team directly reached out to me for an interview and we scheduled a time. They then reached out again and asked me to fill out another application because HR changed the original listing (they doubled the required years of experience with no salary increase and changed the description of some duties).
HR then reached out to me in a separate email to ask the amount of years of experience I have, even though I already filled this out on the application. I was so confused, I had to ask if I was still being interviewed at the previously scheduled time, and HR confirmed to go ahead.
On the day of the interview, I saw the listing of the position was changed *again*. Despite this, I went ahead with the interview. The interview was a panel with the managers of the team. While they were nice, it was fairly disorganized and I had to ask a lot of questions to understand what the position even was, due to the description was changed multiple times.
After asking a question regarding the remote nature of the position, one of the managers revealed most of their team is actually from overseas. I wont name the country, but it is one notoriously know for cheap labor. That fact did not make me feel great about my chances, but my experience seemed perfect for the position (once I actually confirmed my understanding of it) so I thought it might be alright.
Once the hour-long interview was over, the manager told me to expect to hear from them in a few weeks. However, I received an automated rejection email only a few days later. I can't help but feel my time was wasted dealing with this process, and I can't even imagine how disorganized the company must be if this is how their interviews are.
If you're not applying for a Management or in-person position, I wouldn't bother. You'll most likely be used as an excuse for HR to say they did their "due diligence", just for them to hire someone overseas as cheap labor. I used to have a positive outlook on this company, but after this experience - not so much.
