      Sales Operations Analyst Interview

      7 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Salt Lake City, UT
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Owlet (Salt Lake City, UT) in Feb 2025

      Interview

Job advertised as a full time role W2 employee. I was given an offer and *surprise* I would be a 1099 contractor. I revised the entire contract with my lawyer and saw a couple of issues that were in the company’s favor. They corrected some things but, they truly did not want to identify me as a true 1099- contractor who makes their own hours. This was the biggest red flag. I asked for a compromise here and rescinded the offer. Suggestion: be ready to negotiate and don’t back down. You don’t want to be if you seek ayed because they scammed you into a contract when you just needed a job🙄
