I applied online. I interviewed at PEI Group (New York, NY) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process was long. Multiple stages beggining with there was a phone screening, then a meeting with two managers, an editing test, and then finally with the head of the department. I was told that would be the last interview. However, I received an invite for an in-person “coffee chat” as they called it. I was feeling positive based off of the feedback I had received throughout the process and the fact that it was framed that they wanted me to meet the team. I paid a bunch for train tickets to meet them at their office. Did not get the job. It was emotionally exhausting to be set up and for them to simply apologize for my “confusion” about the interview process. I suggest companies be more transparent about their processes to avoid any misunderstandings.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PEI Group
Interview
The process was very fast-paced and thorough. Several over-the-phone interviews with London staff, then meeting in-person with New York employees. Everyone was pleasant, asked tough, yet practical questions, and there was also a writing test. Thanks to the interviews and writing test, I felt I had a good grasp on the subject matter and would fit in with the office. Ultimately, it just wasn't the right move for my career.
