I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PIMCO in Dec 2019
Interview
Multiple rounds of phone calls. First fit and then some analytical questions (riddles, brain teasers, general FI knowledge). Final round superday - five interviews with two people per room. Each one had a theme. One was situational (how do you work on a team), one was market knowledge (current benchmark numbers for key fin indicators), there was an excel test, and one was critical thinking.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at PIMCO (Newport Beach, CA) in Apr 2025
Interview
Relatively straightforward, didn’t ask a ton of behavioral just got straight to the point. Was asked a lot about my resume and background which made sense considering I had a fixed income background.

Question 1
What does the x and y axis stand for on the yield curve
Started out with a general hirevue consisting of some behavioral and some technical followed by a superday with four interviewers and a mix of behavioral and technical questions, but pretty basic
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at PIMCO (Los Angeles Subdivision)
Interview
Hireview has technical part. So you probably should prepare behavioral and technical in fixed income. 10 questions. Be prepared so you don' get superise on tech questions. Typically tech questions should not appear in Hirevue but it did for PIMCO
