      I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at PagerDuty (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2017

      Interview

      As I applied online, I received an email from the recruitment coordinator who setup a call with the Manager. After that they called me to the office where I spent almost 5 hours. I met with the teams, spoke to various members over Google Hangout and did a presentation. Overall the interview went really well. I received a call from another recruiter who was not even involved in the process telling me they selected someone with higher experience. I had 10 + years of experience for this mid- level role, so not sure how much higher they wanted to go. I sent them an email expecting a clear reason for rejection but no response. Either the process is broken or they are just not clear who they want to hire. Most certainly, they are not looking for diversity in their teams and definitely not an equal opportunity hiring company.

      Thank you for your feedback - we take our candidate experience seriously. We value candidate's time and strive to balance that with the speed of our process, which often means that our recruiting team works together to handle candidates and provide coverage during PTO and vacations. We had a number of qualified candidates for the position and we selected a candidate with more relevant experience that better met the qualifications of the role. We take diversity very seriously at PagerDuty - from our CEO through our entire team it is engrained within our recruitment process and company culture.
