I received a job offer from Paladin for a position at YVR on a Friday—the same day I had another offer. After taking the weekend to carefully consider what was best for me and my family, I declined the other opportunity and committed to Paladin, who asked me to start that Sunday.
I rearranged everything to be ready on short notice, but heard nothing from them. I had to follow up multiple times with HR just to get basic details like my start time, location, and where to park. Finally, on Thursday afternoon, I got a call saying my start date had been pushed back by two weeks. I waited patiently.
Then, just a few days before my new start date, they called again to inform me the offer was being withdrawn. The reason they gave was that one of my references gave a bad review—but this made no sense, as my references are close professional contacts who continue to support me actively.
This experience left me shocked and without a job. If you're considering a role with Paladin, especially at YVR, think twice before turning down other offers. Their process was disorganized and ultimately cost me a valuable opportunity. Sadly, it’s no surprise to see ongoing turnover within their team.
