I had a 5 week total interview process from interview offer to decision. It consisted of two virtual interviews with two different employees and an in-person interview where I met with four different people which included HR. I was excited to get such a big interview right out of college, but it became increasingly clear as the process dragged on that they were taking longer by design, then they revealed that they wanted me to produce work for the last interview which I wasn't sure if that was normal or not. While I appreciated getting to meet everyone at the company I did not enjoy the time it took. They were focused so much on this ESOP benefit and candidates weren't given any concrete information on it. When I asked about benefits in the third interview I felt like those were glossed over too and I was just told that they had every benefit of a major company and health insurance, which I didn't like that response because it very well might not be true if they don't tell me about it in the interview process. At the end of the interview I felt like I did something wrong with the writing assignment they gave us for the final interview and we were never given specific feedback before or afterwards. The interview process was way too long for the job description and when I was told when I'd hear a decision by, more time went by before I reached out and received a no. They keep your resume on file, but I will not be applying again and I'm disappointed in myself because I could have looked harder for jobs during that period of time but I was more focused on getting through the interview process not wanting to bow out early, but in hindsight maybe I should have.
