BEING BRUTALLY HONEST:
3 interviews to get the position. Managers seemed nice, then the real work began. Extremely cluttered, everything is everywhere so it makes it hard for you to finish your work, so you're constantly going back and forth. Leadership skills are poor, you receive very little help, and almost little to no knowledge on how to do things from the managers. Each manager is different, so you get yelled at by each one, and they all have their way of doing things so you don't know which one to listen. Unnecessary remarks are made and favoritism plays a slight role. When you ask one of the 3 managers that are there, they make you feel dumb and uncomfortable almost to the point that you should probably quit while you're ahead. If it's such a problem that you have to ask a new employee why they're there, then obviously you didn't hire the right person for the job. It's almost as if you get babied when you ask for help. If you're lucky, you might not even do lobby and bathroom, just counter help which is serving customers. But in this case, I applied for counter help, they assigned me to do lobby and bathroom, occasional counter help if it's busy. Training is slow, it's actually quite horrible. Takes them almost 3 weeks or maybe never to learn cash register and/or drive thru. But according to manager they do " everything at Panda Express". If that's the case, then you should probably get hands on with new employee's and help them out so they can move to the next segment. Although, it is a fast paced, but when you're doing lobby, they're not pleased and you're not going "fast enough". You know you're going pretty fast when you're about to trip on JUST floor. They interrupt you when you're doing work, then get blamed over the fact that a customer left ON THE SPOT and it's your responsibility to clean up, BUT they're still talking to you and you know you're going to handle the issue. They never give handbooks, so you get yelled at for not having one which is their fault. They give you your uniform and just service menu codes which are the codes for the food so you can label them properly. Fairly easy to remember. The store holds VERY high standards for an okay pay. All of that doesn't matter though, if they're going to belittle you and treat you as if you're just another one when you're a hard worker and they don't care to hold an appropriate employee - manager work relationship. There's always better jobs out there. After being employed by this company, I can see why a lot rated it 3.2/5.
