I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Papaya (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Mar 2024
Interview
the normal phone screen, then a technical round.
Oddly, they chose to ask about some very specific thing (asyncio, in my case). Its not really something I use daily so I didnt pass but I find that its an odd way to screen candidates. Odder still if you realize they dont even use python on prod. Very friendly, though - seems like a fun place to work.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
its a concurrency question where you need to understand asyncio (tasks, await) to pass it. i've seen variations of this question with threads (make sure only 10 threads run at at time etc).
I applied online. I interviewed at Papaya in Feb 2024
Interview
I had a phone interview screening of 15 minutes. Next step was a technical zoom interview of hour. Regular interview, introduction, questions about the background and a coding part, coding in my IDE and screen sharing.
