I applied online. I interviewed at PassiveLogic (Sandy, UT)
Interview
Went through six interviews, was told that if I recieved an offer it would be at a salary 20-30k less than my competing offers at similar startups, but I loved the team so I continued. I then recieved an offer $30k less than that, and was told they would love to hire me for a position under the one I interviewed for.

Question 1
Create a thermodynamic model on a solar panel, piping, and a water tank. You have one week to develop the project.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PassiveLogic (Holladay, UT) in Apr 2025
Interview
Overall the interview process was fine. Initial 30 minute conversation with HR which then scheduled another 30 minute call with one of the internal hiring managers. HR initially told me that there was a take home technical component after the in-person interview. Was invited to in-person interview and it was sprung on me that the technical part was in person and right now! Must have gone poorly because I received the rejection email a week later. Total process time was about a month.

Question 1
Write code or pseudocode to find the mode of a set of numbers on the whiteboard.
I applied online. I interviewed at PassiveLogic in Jan 2025
Interview
I had two interviews, one with HR and a technical interview with a manager. Both were fine and went pretty well, we mostly talked about my research experience. However, after this they told me that due to an industry trade show their process will be delayed. I understood, and followed up a month later. I've been ghosted ever since, and it has been around 2 months since last contact. Ghosting people is never cool, no matter how busy anyone is.
