I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Paychex (Rocky Hill, CT) in Apr 2012
Interview
Interviewer was highly descriptive of what the role entailed and what was needed and expected. Asked questions about overall HR knowledge and asked for specific examples of times dealing with employee relation issues, benefit issues, conducting orientations, conducting harassment training, conducting investigations, etc. Informed that it was required to train for 2 weeks in upstate NY at the start of the role (no other option).
3 step process excluding the recruiter screen. Phone interview with the recruiter then three video interviews. Felt very natural and every one was very nice. Met with manager, peers and senior leader of the team.

Very transparent and straight forward. The process included 3 interviews- the last one included a presentation. The whole process took less than 2 weeks which is very refreshing in a job search.
