I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Payless ShoeSource (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
I applied online it gives you no options on exact locations to apply to but the locations that are hiring will call you. For me I got a call the next day and she asked for me to come in the next day for an interview so I did I came in about 10 minutes before, she took me to the back room and asked me questions. After the questions she said she would give me a call which never came ( im sure because I didn't get the job) it was my first job interview and I was a bit nervous.
I applied online. I interviewed at Payless ShoeSource (Napa, CA) in Mar 2020
Interview
asked a couple questions, acted out a scenario, and showing my resume
it was a pretty straight forward interview from questions of previous job experience , and how you would approach certain scenarios
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you go about a customer needing help finding a specific style of shoe?
The interview process was simple. I received a phone call then came in the following week. I was hired the following week. They asked me questions. I toured the store. After that they offered me a minimum wage and I excepted. Big mistake.
You sit in a room with the manager. Manager will ask you “why would you like to work here?” Manager will explain what your role will be, and what you have to do. You will be asked what you are looking to get paid, and pay negotiation begins. After the interview is over you wait to receive a call for a “second interview” which is signing some papers, and you getting your tag and a tour of the store.
