I felt disheartened by the interview process, to say the least. I had previously interviewed for this role and made it to the final round, where they ended up moving forward with another candidate. I was passionate about the company and when I saw the role open again, I reached back out. The recruiter who reached back out did another informal interview, it was actually a little awkward, it felt like she was reading a script, even though we had already built rapport. She then reached out to let me know they were interested in moving forward with a zoom. We confirmed a time and she let me know she would send the link the next day. The next day, this is now after several months and multiple conversations with this Recruiter, she sent me a generic response letting me know that they actually weren't moving forward with me. I responded and asked if maybe I just wasn't a good fit for the role, or what the situation was, as we had confirmed the interview the prior day.. She never responded. What a lack luster experience. I have worked in HR and Recruiting more of my career and I really feel like applicants deserve to be treated fairly and like people. Whether she had the information or not, at this point, we had countless conversations and it felt so insincere. I was previously hesitant as the most recent reviews from interviewees and employees was pretty poor but I imagined that had something to do with COVID. After experiencing it myself, I don't think they are an organization I would want to work for, sadly.
