      Senior Manager Interview

      18 Aug 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Peloton Interactive in Jul 2020

      Interview

If Pelotons' interview process gives you a sense of the organizations culture, employee engagement, and process and procedures, then you will find yourself in a very unorganized, non communicative, beuracratic, non diverse work environment. Horrific experience with a long drawn out process, unengaged, egotistical interviewers, no follow up, and observed discriminatory practices. I was reached out to by one recruiter handed off to another recruiter. I then interviewed with the hiring manager shortly after. After not hearing back for several weeks I reached out and was scheduled for more video interviews with the team. The interviewers did not seem very engaged and maintained an ego through the process. I waited about 4 weeks after my 3-4 hours of interviews and heard nothing. I received an automated email that said they were going to pursue other candidates, however before that I received a personal email form another recruiter stating they were going through some changes and putting the role on hold. It was an extremely drawn out process and a complete waste of time. I would not recommend applying for jobs based on the candidate experience. Peloton really needs to improve their recruiting process and candidate experience by taking this feedback seriously. I'm sure they get a lot of candidates, but there is no excuse for not respecting another persons time, gender, race or a person as a person in their entirety.

      Interview

The team I met with was great. However, the recruiting team is extremely frustrating as they were very slow to respond and skipped meeting. This has been most incompetent recruiters I’ve ever worked with.

      Senior Manager Interview

      24 Mar 2020
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Peloton Interactive (New York, NY) in Mar 2020

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter to schedule a phone screen. The phone screen was scheduled for later that week and went well. The next step was scheduling a phone interview with the hiring manager, which was scheduled for the end of that week. On the scheduled date I spoke with the hiring manager, who gave me insight on the role and how it supported various departments. The interview went extremely well. I enjoyed the conversation, which was seamless. I was then contacted again by the same recruiter to move towards the next step in the interview process which was an onsite panel interview with various company stake holders. This was scheduled for the beginning of the following week. Unfortunately, with COVID-19 those interviews where moved from being an onsite interview to a virtual platform. I cannot say enough about how resourceful Peloton is. I appreciated their agility in finding a solution during this unforeseen issue. Because of the complexity of it, the scheduling was facilitated working with 3 different recruiters who were all extremely responsive and helpful. On the following week I logged on and was able to meet various members of the team and differing departments. Each meeting gave me a 360 view of not only the role and how it would support various departments, it gave me a glimpse into Peloton’s company culture which was great. Everyone was super apologetic regarding how the interview was being done, but extremely professional. Those interviews took most of the day, as each one was scheduled for anywhere between 30-45 mins in length. One of the main stake holders could not make his scheduled meeting and it was set up for the day after. That following day I met with the SVP of Construction virtually. An extremely nice individual with a strong back ground. We discussed both his experience and mine in the industry. The interview was very conversational in tone and ended well. After several days I was scheduled for a final conversation with the original recruiter. It was during this time that I was given a formal offer letter for the role. The recruiter walked me through all of the different perks of working for Peloton. I reviewed the offer and finally signed and accepted the position. The interview process was rather seamless. This speaks highly of the recruitment staff and their ability to simplify the process.
