The interview process felt disorganized. I spoke with a recruiter and her leader first via Google Meet. Then I was scheduled with the client. I offered availability for a few days. The interview had to be rescheduled 4 times, 2 of the times were outside my availability. I joined the Google Meet 4 mins early, 8 mins after the interview was set to start no one had joined. I sent an email to the leader and stayed on until 20 mins after the interview time. I didn’t hear back for a few hours. The recruiter emailed asking why I missed the interview. I responded and said I hadn’t and I had emailed her leader. The leader responded and apologized for not seeing the earlier email. Then proceeded to say there must have been an issue because I didn’t have gmail so the Google Meet didn’t work correctly. I pointed out that I had spoken with both of them via Google Meet without incident. They said they’d get back to me but never did. It’s been 3 weeks. All in all, not a great experience. I’ve worked in agency, RPO, and Corporate environments and have never treated a candidate that way nor would I ever blame them for a technical issue.
