From the initial point of contact for an interview (phone interview) to the time I received an in-person interview, the entire process took 7 months. Note, it only took this long because there were gaps of several months where I did not receive any response or update from the interviewer after they had stated they would like to schedule an in-person interview with me. The phone interview process was relatively easy, mostly just general questions on career interests, background and experience with certain technologies. The in-person was a more in-depth version of the topics discussed in the phone interview. The interviewer was friendly and knowledgeable, but in the end, even after a seemingly positive interview and a spoken claim of interest and an opportunity to follow up further, I was eventually ghosted by the interviewer after reaching out for a follow up. No response. Even after such an extensive amount of time of me having to reach out with interest and asing for an update, no courtesy indication of being declined, approved, or still pending was received. Very unprofessional on their behalf.
