Pike Nurseries interview questions

Interviews went really well. Connected with the lead designer immediately. He was really easy to talk with and open to my design aesthetic. He gave me a detailed run down on how the process works from client interaction to design to overseeing the install. He also made clear his expectations.

The interview process itself was fine, it was what I discovered at the end of the interview that was incredibly infuriating. I applied for an open department manager or supervisor position, got called in for an interview, and then found out after having a great interview that I was actually interviewing for a sales associate position. When I asked about the position I applied for, I was informed that they like to promote from within for those positions. I left the interview with a bad taste in my mouth. Soon after, I was offered the sales associate position, which I did not accept because Pike wasted my time AND theirs by not being transparent about their hiring process OR the position I thought I was interviewing for. Luckily a week or two later, I interviewed for and was offered a position teaching visual art. Glad I dodged that bullet.
