The IT manager was brilliant. Very analytical with a dry sense of humor; he explained the network and it's strengths and limitations. There were some bits and pieces that were "cobbled together" that worked perfectly fine. During that time, "creative solutions" were needed to fix unusual problems.
I explained that I understood exactly what he meant. It wasn't much of a process, I was hired after one interview. I was almost sad when the network was overhauled.
