      Principal Acquisition Account Executive Interview

      12 Sept 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Pluralsight (Dublin, Dublin) in Jul 2025

      Interview

The process began with a recruiter screening followed by a hiring manager interview just two days later. The hiring manager conversation went well, and I was told feedback was positive. But after that, the experience turned into one of the worst I’ve ever had. Communication from the recruiter stopped almost completely. I followed up multiple times by email and phone, even leaving voicemails, but never received a proper response. My emails were clearly opened, but not answered. Instead, I received occasional vague promises of “updates tomorrow,” which never materialized. Weeks went by without closure. Why this was so disappointing: * I was rushed into interviews but then ignored afterwards — no balance, no respect for my time. * Feedback was contradictory: “positive” one day, silence the next. * The recruiter showed zero accountability, professionalism, or courtesy. This behavior reflects poorly not just on one individual, but on the company’s culture. The process simply died without any formal communication. No “yes,” no “no,” nothing. ****************************************************************Outcome: The process simply died without any formal communication. No “yes,” no “no,” nothing. Advice to Pluralsight: Treat candidates with respect. If you value talent, show it. Close the loop, give timely updates, and hold recruiters accountable for communication. Don’t rush people into interviews just to ghost them afterwards. Experiences like this explain why candidate and employee reviews of the company are consistently below average. From what I’ve seen, the culture feels more like a sinking ship than a healthy, growing business.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re very sorry that your interview process didn’t reflect the level of communication and respect we strive to provide. We’ve already been in touch with you directly over email, but I wanted to acknowledge your feedback here as well. After looking into it, we discovered that some of your messages were unintentionally filtered to spam, which delayed our responses and led to a breakdown in communication. Regardless of technical issues, that’s not acceptable. Providing timely, transparent communication is a core part of our hiring values, and it’s clear we missed that mark here. I want to personally apologize for the frustration this caused. We appreciate your honesty and the professionalism with which you shared your concerns. Your feedback is essential for helping us grow and improve and I’ve taken this instance back to the team to ensure it doesn’t happen again in the future. We wish you all the best in your continued search and hope you’ll give Pluralsight another chance in the future. - Dani Foust (Director of Talent Acquisition)
