I applied online. I interviewed at Popeyes (Philadelphia, PA) in Jun 2017
Interview
This was the worst interview ever. I came in 10 min early and had to wait a solid 40 minutes for the store manager to speak to me. When he came out, he just handed me a the code of conduct and said I needed to sign it. Upon signing it, he imformed me that although I applied for the shift leader position and had 3 years of manager experience I had to start as a cashier. Then he told me if I wanted the position I would have to do two 5 hour days of unpaid "training" before getting put on the schedule and getting paid. The cherry on top was when he said I would be then getting paid minimum wage although this was a high volume store in the busiest part of a major city.
Came in with a resume and briefly sat down with manager. Seemed like they didn't need employees at the moment, but that I should check later (maybe end of summer)
One interview, in person, 20 minutes. Started out with an introduction and brief explanation of my interests outside of work. The interviewer was friendly and I was hired the next week. Great place and good food, safety is taken seriously.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q: do you have experience in the service industry?
At the Popeye's I interviewed at there were lots of employees and even more customers. Interview process was quite brief, very smooth, and took about thirty minutes from walking in the door to walking out the door with an offer.
