Interview
A headunter reached out to me on LinkedIn as we were not connections. I decided to research her organization before accepting her invitation to ensure it was a legitimate business. She mentioned that she was a headhunter and had a position she thought would be of interest to me. We sent several emails back in forth as she was in London and I was in the US. She initially mentioned that the position was out of state and they needed someone asap. She then wanted to know my availability to discuss the matter the following week. I responded and told her my schedule was open/flexible. She did not call that week. I sent a few emails and she failed to respond until 3-4 days later. She tells me that they put the job on hold for a few weeks and she apologized for not reaching out to me. I forgave her, but in the back of my mind I thought that was bad business/unprofessional to not communicate for days on end. Because of the time difference, I asked her to let me know ahead of time when she wanted to communicate via phone. I received a missed phone call with no warning at 6:40 a.m. my time. When I did see the phone call, I checked my email and she says I tried to call but there was no answer? Really? So, I preceded to give it one final shot. Although my mind/intuition is telling me this is not a good way to start a business relationship. She and agreed to set up a phone call today. I woke up early to ensure I would not miss her call and she assured me she would call me at 6:30 a.m. my time today. Guess what? No response...I sent an email and still no returned call as of yet. I am done! I sent her one final email explaining the shotty communication. I refuse to conduct business with anyone if you cannot even get past the phone call. After all, you initially reached out to me!!! Ridiculous!!!
