The hiring manager called me with no warning; we talked for 30 minutes and then set up our 'next interview' the following week. When it came time for the next interview, the hiring manager was 10 minutes late and asked the same exact basic interview questions he asked me the week before. It became very obvious that he forgot and had no clue who I was, even though we talked less than a week before....
The interview itself was very basic, and I felt like it was going well, At the end the hiring manager said, "we like you, would love for you to come into our office tomorrow for an in-person interview", Mind you that this interview happened in the afternoon, so this was less than 24 hours in advance. I told the manager that unfortunately the very next day was not going to work, because my calendar was already book all day, we should try the following day, or the next week would work best for my schedule. Which I though was a very normal answer, because I felt like them trying to get me into the office that quickly, regardless of my time and schedule was a little bit of a red flag. But the job market is very tough right now, so I wanted to go through the whole process, and then make my decision. Not many people are able to cancel their entire day for a last-minute interview, that I felt was very rushed.
I followed up with the manager the very next day, and multiple times since. And have gotten ghosted by him. A definite red flag in my book, if they go from 'let's have you come in tomorrow for the next interview' to ghosting someone. All around this company has wasted my time and was not professional AT ALL throughout this process. Would not recommend to anyone.
