Dear Reviewer ,
Thank you for your feedback. We encourage all feedback, regardless of the nature.
As with most preliminary interviews, in the first round, our hiring manager likes to have some what of a meet-and-greet with the applicant. This is to match a face to the resume, and see how the applicant could potentially fit in our company. Positive company culture is a huge part of our mission. This desired atmosphere is built on the energy of the people we have on our team. Additionally, it is a chance for the applicant to hear a little about us and the role we are looking to fill.
Should the hiring manager feel that it could be a potential good match for both parties, the offer for a second interview is extended. This is a more in-depth conversation about an applicant’s potential and past experience.
If you felt that it was not a good use of your time, we apologize. The purpose of an interview, of course, is to find a mutual interest and benefit between the company and candidate. Unfortunately it sounds like in this circumstance it was not the best fit. We strive to make each applicant's experience a positive one, regardless of the outcome. Again, we appreciate your feedback and wish you the very best of luck in your future endeavors.
Best,
Human Resources
