I had a negative and unprofessional interview experience with this company for a Junior Product Manager position. I was required to create and present a slide deck, a task I undertook earnestly as I had respect for the company and their goals. I had done this for interviews elsewhere at the time, often receiving neutral or positive feedback.
During the presentation, I encountered unexpected and dramatic behavior from the CPO. He openly belittled me and my presentation, scoffed and interrupted me constantly, sighed and looked at his watch, and expressed a desire to leave the room early on many occasions. This approach felt less like an assessment of my capabilities and more, I suspect, an attempt to give me a lowball offer.
This negative experience left me with great concerns about the company's culture, especially concerning respect and professionalism. I extend genuine concern for those currently working for the company and for future interviewees who may find themselves in a similar situation.
