I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance in Feb 2018
Interview
2 tests online that guage your aptitude and one had a virtual portion where you take a call and pick answers to help the customer. (About 45 min- hour for each to complete)
If you pass that a phone interview is scheduled that involves going over work history, why you want to work for progressive, and then a few behavioral questions that they want you to answer using STAR. (45 min- hour)
If you are chosen to move on they do a background review and an in person interview with the office you are applying to.
Overall a tedious long process that was drawn out and took about a month from the time I first applied. The initial tests are easy and help to weed out herd. The phone interview with my experience was one of the worst I have experienced. The interviewer didn't seem engaged from the beginning and slipped up by saying I was the last person she was interviewing and they had an idea of who they were choosing seeing they already removed the listing. I asked if that meant my interview would have no bearing and she immediately backtracked and said she misspoke. She told me I was one of the few applicants with prior insurance and claims history which was very attractive but the whole conversation after her initial slip up felt like the whole thing was a waste of time.
Having managed a book over over 300k in premiums and countless other contacts I will let everyone know in my center of influence to stay away from progressive and look at state farm, farmers, Chubb, travelers, etc instead. Felt the process was vey unprofessional with how the phone interview started and went.
Never received email after the interview to let me know what direction they were going. Signed into progressive account and found out there I was selected to move forward but after phone interview declined as I felt it was just to meet status quo and they already had their preferred applicant
Seems like they dropped the ball with the process and seems like this isn't the first time from reading reviews

Interview
Video interview followed by zoom meeting.
The video interview you answer I believe 6 questions and you have 2 attempts to complete the questions. The video had me kind of stressed
I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Malvern, PA)
Interview
I applied and was sent an email to complete a 30 minute assessment that must be completed within 6 days. I completed the assessment about 2 hours after receiving the email. Within about 30 minutes of completing the assessment I received an email stating I was selected for a short video interview as soon as possible and submissions are reviewed in the order in which they are received. This is how far I am in the process so far.
