I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Mayfield Heights, OH) in Sept 2014
Interview
Behavioral interview that must follow the STAR format. Some interviewers may help you walk through the situation. Some questions are vague and not really relevant to the position applied for. It's difficult to determine if this method is effective in hiring the best possible candidate. People are very nice but the process is lengthy. Internal recruiter is very helpful in setting expectations and/or timelines.

There were two interviews on back to back dates. Each interview had 2 individuals who would be your peers. The STAR approach is required for situational responses. The team was very professional and welcoming.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Cleveland, OH)
Interview
Heavily behavior-based questions using a Targeted Selection methodology. They look for answers in the form of STARS. Was not much time to have a real dialogue with them. It was sort of one-sided...they ask you numerous questions while they take notes most of the time.

Interview
The talent recruiter was responsive and helpful throughout the process. It was extremely thorough, well-organized, and concise. They went line by line through the resume, asking specific questions for further insight and clarity. They asked traditional behavioral-type interview questions and went over job requirements in detail. Overall it was a good experience.
