I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Ptmw (Topeka, KS)
Interview
Submitted an application and was given an interview with a guy who was fired a few months later, due to an argument with the owner, apparently. Most of the interview consisted of him asking questions and interrupting my responses. While exuberant, he seemed to forget the interview was not for him, and almost fantasized about the ideas he had for a department that didn't exist yet, and apparently never did. The two other people in the room, who were supposed leads of certain departments seemed very shy and out of place for leadership roles. Overall, the interview was not very professional, the admin/HR lady was rude, and to be honest, if they had called back I would have likely declined. I was later called by a recruiter that essentially said they were desperate, at which point, I did refuse, hearing about how little the company actually cared about its employees and puts people in leadership positions who should definitely not be in them. Question to the management.... How do you expect to keep or GET good employees if you don't appreciate the ones you have? It is incredible just how powerful word of mouth is.

Question 1
Would I be interested in helping to develop a possible new department?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Ptmw (Topeka, KS) in Mar 2016
Interview
One on one with the department manager and HR representative. The manager seemed to be a decent and knowledgeable person but the office staff was somewhat rude. The HR person was outright mean and acted like she was mad at the world or something. It was totally off from the minute one because of her. It was like I was showing up unannounced for something. Then they didn't get back with me. I had to call repeatably weeks after to find out what the status of the job opening. Applying and interviewing with this company was a complete waste of time. Call and try talking to HR and see for yourself how rude they are. Makes you wonder.
