      I had a very good reputation and a very clean image of Publicis Sapient in my mind. I would even argue with my colleagues if they talk about their negative experiences with Sapient. But It all went into vain after the process. I have never seen such a weird way of rejecting a candidate. This is the most unprofessional and unethical way of doing this. I seriously have no idea where exactly things went wrong which led to a degradation in the level of the position offered. In the very first conversation with Recruiter, I made it clear that I am already working as SDE III why would I pursue an opportunity of SDE II. Then he cleared the air and made me understand the hierarchy of SDEs in Sapient and how they are different from traditional organizations. Then and only then I made up my mind that It's okay let's go ahead. Going forward, In the very first coding problem, I tried to cover almost every aspect which was asked in the problem assessment and the solution was working flawlessly. Then in the Domain coding round1, It all went really well. I was able to answer/code most of the problem statements given. And as per my recruiter, I had received very good feedback for the SDE II role. In domain coding round2 I was able to come up with the designs and respective architectural solutions. I received good feedback in this round as well for the SDE II role. Similarly In round3, which was supposed to be more of a core value round happened to have some very good technical discussions. It was again a very good interview and the recruiter shared very positive feedback for the SDE II role only. Everything went smooth and I was able to clear the interviews for the SDE II role only. But the recruiter came back to me saying that the HOE has downgraded the position being offered. And I was literally shocked and very annoyed. I mean if he is the actual decision-maker why hasn't he communicated the same parameters to recruiters and interviewers as well? At least the interviewers would know what to evaluate for AND recruiter would know whom to call and whom not to. Why doesn't HE participate in the interview process itself? At least the candidate would come to know that he couldn't clear that round. Why HE comes into the picture at the end, out of nowhere just to announce the decision (And on what basis, Only he knows)? It actually gives a very very wrong impression that your interview panels are not capable enough. And most importantly you don't trust them. You have a very huge gap between what the recruiter communicates to candidates and what you expect.

      First they gave a very lengthy assignment to build a news slicing system with frontend in react and backend using Java spring boot, with whole host of features and principles. They took one round on the project. And another round on Microservices. After acing everything they rejected me because I didn't have experience in AWS, as if that would have taken me 10 years to learn on the job. I am glad I didn't join a company that is so orthodox about their requirements, and don't trust and value the concept of learning on the job. Pretty sure that with this attitude, they'd have expected things to be done before they are assigned.
