Got this call through naukri. All interviews were of high difficulty. Panel comprised of senior directors and product heads from old IIMs. They were curious about my current role, my achievements and contributions. Technical questions on software development and architecture were also asked

HR called, discussed salary, finalized and then the process started
R 1 - Technical Round
R2 - Program Manager
R3 - Managerial Round
R4 - Client Round
All Rounds cleared.....
IRONY - HR comes after 10 days and says CUSTOMER has not approved the project and position so IT IS ON HOLD.
I am not able to understand that if you do not have the project how is the position/vacancy available for interview process.
