I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Puffy (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
A thorough process covering several stages - initial screening, a phone or video interview, skills assessment, and an in-person or virtual interview with behavioral and technical components. Each stage built naturally on the last, giving a well-rounded picture of both analytical ability and cultural fit. The people involved were sharp and asked questions that required genuine critical thinking rather than rehearsed answers. A team that clearly values intellectual rigor and structured problem-solving.

Question 1
Walk us through your portfolio - what project are you most proud of and what were the key design decisions behind it?
I applied online. I interviewed at Puffy (Los Angeles, CA) in Sept 2025
Interview
Kicked off with a recruiter conversation, then two separate phone screens with different managers. What stood out immediately was the caliber of thinking on display - these are engineers who operate at a genuinely high level and ask questions that reveal how deeply they understand the systems they build. The first session flowed well and covered meaningful technical ground. The second was more challenging in pacing but pushed me to think on my feet, which was ultimately valuable. A good test of both problem-solving ability and composure under pressure.
