HR led both the screening process and the first round interview. After the first round, HR lead coordinated with the hiring manager for further selection and participation in the interview process
The supervisor called me to learn about my background and skills. 30min call and I heard back after 2 weeks that they are moving forward with other cancidate. The interview was chill and easy but they seemed like they wanted someone who could work asap.
The process was rigid and felt more like an interrogation than an interview. The interviewer required 5-minute responses for specific questions; this directive is counter to industry standards and makes it difficult to provide high-impact, concise answers. It threw me off and as a result, my answers were not great. The interviewer struggled to answer a basic inquiry I posed to him about the role. He offered an opportunity to provide additional context via email afterward which I thought was a recognition of the ineffective process but there was no acknowledgement or follow-up. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and lacked the professional exchange one expects during an interview.
