      Product Development Specialist Interview

      1 May 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at QBP (Minneapolis, MN) in Feb 2023

      Interview

A total joke and waste of time. His very first question to me "How much money do you want for salary?" Umm ok, awkward but I told him I want to learn more about the role before asking for a number. He proceeds to read me the job description verbatim from his screen. Ok.. we move along and over the next hour he tells me I can only speak one sentence at a time or he wont capture what Im saying. Incredibly awkward- I honestly thought I was on a prank show. Reads everything back to me word by word and I have to correct him many, many times on what I actually said. Then, he calls back the very next day. I ask how he's doing and expecting to follow up about the role/interview. He starts to get into the interview as if we've never spoken before. I interrupt him to remind him we just did this yesterday. In light of this, Im not even 100% certain he put my interview answers under the right candidate. I was expecting someone on HR to followup but neither he or anyone else ever followed up with me via email or phone. A total joke- but Im actually glad it happened to know to stay away from QBP... where there's smoke there's fire.

      Question 1

Very basic- I had to describe everything as if I was explaining to my 4th grader
