I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at QIAGEN (Manchester City Centre, England) in Mar 2017
Interview
Initial interview held by telephone, invited to attend for competency based interview in Manchester, went well. I was informed that I would hear the outcome within a few days. Initial impressions were positive.
Two weeks later I enquired as to the interview outcome, was told to be patient.
After a month, I enquired again, there was still no interview outcome???
A complete failure to display positive values and respect towards potential employees.
Poor quality communications at this stage soured what could have been a positive experience, irregardless of the interview outcome. I had taken the time to attend a formal interview, but they could not be bothered to update me.
For a multinational company this failure to meet basic client expectations requires honest feedback.
The whole process and lack of courtesy has negatively affected my view of the reputational standing of Qiagen in Manchester.
I don't think I would bother attending another interview with this company.
