      Senior Data Engineer Interview

      8 Apr 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quantexa in Mar 2025

      Interview

The interview process was clear and very logical. Sumayyah was awesome and deserves a lot of credit for making the hiring experience simple and transparent. She consistently communicated updates and ensured I was always informed about what was happening and what to expect next. The process consisted of three stages: a take-home exam, an interview with the hiring manager, and a final two-hour interview with principal technical team members. Overall, it was one of the best hiring processes I’ve experienced at any company.

      Sr. Data Engineer Interview

      19 Jul 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Brussels
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Quantexa (Brussels) in Jul 2025

      Interview

I applied online and was later contacted by Summaya, who was professional and well-prepared during our call. After the interview, I was invited to complete a take-home assessment in Spark/Scala. Since I was new to Scala, I planned to go through the assessment over the weekend. However, when I first looked at it, I saw that it consisted of four tests, each with an estimated duration of 360 minutes—about 12 hours in total. Unfortunately, given that 40 ppl clicked apply in linkedin job announcement it seemed worthless, imagine doing the same in case of few job interviews, so I decided not to proceed.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Did you work with external customers. Experience in Databricks/Spark/Scala. Salary expectations. What environment you like
