I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Quantum Metric (Pittsburgh, PA) in Jan 2022
Interview
I was fortunate enough to be contacted by an in house recruiter who made sure I was a good fit before connecting me with the team. When connected with the team I met with a engineering manager who walked me through the services offered by the company and spoke to me about my technical background. My next interview would pair program with me in a technical interview. I then met the leaders of the company and learned more about the companies goals and history. Ultimately I met the CEO, Mario who shared his amazing journey as well as interviewed me and my background.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Quantum Metric (Colorado Springs, CO) in Feb 2021
Interview
The interview process was ok for the first part. I had a meeting where they talked with me and really liked me so they sent me a code challenge. The code challenge was quite a bit of work and took me an entire weekend to do. I thought I had a pretty good working solution so I was surprised to receive an email from them telling me that they were going to pass on me with no explanation. I responded to that email and asked them if they wouldn't mind telling me what they thought was wrong with my code challenge to make them pass like that. I never received a response so I emailed the recruiter I had been working with and asked him the same question. He also never responded. I found this to be incredibly rude, as I just did a weekend's worth of work for them and they couldn't even shoot me back an email with a very short explanation as to why they passed.
