My university had a career fair where I met several Quidsi employees, including the HR director. HR seemed really interested in my CV, I tried contacting HR but wasn't able to get through. Finally after 1 month of trying to get in contact I just sent an email applying to the position with my resume & the HR contact got back to me right away. I spoke with HR for about 15 minutes about my background, experience & why I'm interested in Quidsi, it ended with her requesting I come in for a 1:1 interview with the hiring manager. It took a couple weeks to coordinate a good time for me to come in to interview because the hiring manager was busy.
In the 1:1 interview, I met first with HR director who asked me basic questions: background, experience, interest. She was very nice & seemed enthusiastic to answer questions I had about position & company. The interview with her lasted aprox. 30 minutes.
Next I met with the hiring manager (Buyer for a portion of Diapers.com) who asked me questions about my background, experience, interest as well as a few work scenario and skills-related/technical questions incorporating retail math & creativity skills. This interview lasted about 1 hour. She opened up the end for questions but seemed really rushed in the last 15 minutes.
The last part of the interview process consisted of an Excel test of about 30 questions. This test incorporated basic Excel ability as well as IF function & pivot tables. It's critical to know the formal way of doing each activity because the software doesn't let you do shortcuts like Ctrl-Shift-F10 to bring up the selection table which screwed me over in this test.
All in all it was a good interview process, both people I met with pleasant & enthusiastic about their work and the company. They also seemed very honest in answering questions.
They did seem disorganized plus the company was just bought by Amazon so there did seem to be uncertainty in the air.
