I applied online for a position at a U.S client of Raw Talent Academy in October 2016. I got an email a few months later from a recruiter to touch base again in the new year. I reached out after the new year during which responses from her were minimal and untimely, which i thought to be extremely unprofessional. As I was genuinely passionate about the job I kept in contact hoping that that I wouldn't have to deal with Raw Talent if I cleared the first round interviews and moved to interviews with their client. Due to our time zone differences - she in the UK and I in the US - it was hard to iron out a time to chat over the phone. When I finally scheduled a phone conversation with her, I was told to do a Skype interview with her the following day. The Skype interview was a little weird because she claimed that there were problems with her webcam - she could see my face while I couldn't see hers.
The Skype interview was extremely short, about 5 minutes short. I was asked very simple questions and was told that I was going on to the next round or so I thought. Then a few days later I got an email from the recruiter stating that I was on a shortlist and not actually on the list of interviewees. Nonetheless, I responded and asked when I could know for sure if I made it. I never got a respond from her at all - in fact that was the last email she sent me before she ghosted. As the interview date was approaching, I got worried and sent another email asking if there were any updates about my application - no response. I thought that at this stage of the recruitment process - having done a phone screen and a 'face-to-face' Skype interview I deserved a proper rejection. I decided to call Raw Talent in the UK and a colleague of hers told me she was already in the U.S conducting interviews for the client and that he would make a note to her to call me back. She never called me back. I felt very cheated at this whole process and didn't expect such mistreatment and unprofessionalism.
