I submitted my application online, they called me to do a phone screen, and then they asked me if I could come in. I came to the office and had back to back 30+ minute interviews with 3 people. The entire thing took forever. I think I applied in September, interviewed in October, and was told I wasn’t selected in November.
The hiring manager was the last person I saw, and she was by far the most personable. The other interviewers were VPs, and they kind of turned me off. My foot wasn’t completely out the door of my current company, so it may have been obvious that my enthusiasm dwindled as I went on.
I asked about which project methodologies they use, and they said “a little bit of both agile and waterfall.” That was a red flag, because it sounded like the culture was pretty resistant to change.
Another question I asked was how many phone calls do they have, and the interviewer let out a big sigh and laughed “oh geez too many.”
