I applied online. I interviewed at Rebtel (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Nov 2017
Interview
The interview was about 30 minutes long, Very little info about the company(of course I had done research, but still) .
Too much info about the interviewer's previous job experiences, not enough relevant questions about how I was a relevant candidate for the position.
There's a lot that could have been presented about the company, since Rebtel did some major reconstructions in 2014 and launched a new service in 2016.
Rebtel's app has bad rep and that is certainly relevant cause the I'm assuming that's why position came about, to improve how the user experience.
Questions about how I deal with angry customers or how I respond to criticism would have been more relevant than the ridiculous questions asked.
The interviewer was not prepared, cause she didn't ask anything about how my cv was relevant for the position.
She did however, take the time to point out that I should add to my cv that I had lived abroad, "just some feedback for your next interview". If she'd read the cv, and not just glanced at it for a sec before the interview, she'd connect the dots, hence no need to point that out.
I realize this was a first stage interview, hence on a getting to know basis, but the overall experience was so bad, so I never even replied to the the problem solving they sent me, as a step 2 in the recruit process.
I expected more questions about my people skills and also, about my language skills since the job required proficiency in spanish.
Questions about my spanish skills should have been vital even at the first stage.
Also, the interviewer did not sell the job, which is equally as important as it is for me as a candidate to promote myself.
"You realize this is a customer support job?" " good, cause a lot of candidates don't".
Overall awful experience, I regret I just didn't walked away cause the whole thing was so silly.
Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We're a unique company with a unique recruitment process and perhaps it wasn't what you were expecting - we're sorry it wasn't pleasant for you. But thank you for your comments; we will take them into consideration.
