      Growth Analyst Interview

      25 Mar 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Recidiviz

      Interview

Started with a request for 2 work samples, which I found odd for a donor management position. Then I had a timed assignment/interview with a manager. Then there was another assignment-based interview with the Chief of Staff. I wasn't given any indication as to what the interview might be like. The assignment felt random and made up on the spot. They expected answers for things that interviewees should have time to think through. A lot of questions about products as well, which I also found odd considering this was a donor management role, not a product manager role. There was no conversation about me or my prior work with the Chief of Staff, only about this made-up scenario and made-up Recidiviz products. Overall, this felt like a ton of work for no compensation for my time. I didn't receive any feedback. I have no idea what kind of person they were looking for, but I wasn't it.
