Was contacted by a Red Antler HR member to meet with the hiring manager at Fat Earth, who was very nice; the interview was standard for Creative Strategist roles at an agency. Did not hear back from the company for more than a week after the meeting, so I reached out and reiterated my interest. A different Red Antler HR member emailed me back with a project (which was stated by the hiring manager to be the next step in the process); I completed the project and sent it over within the timeline they gave. After another week, I again contacted the HR member asking after the position, to which I was told almost a week after THAT email that they had candidates further along in the process who they were proceeding with. While I completely understand this, the disconnect between being given the assignment and being told they were essentially never interested in moving forward with me felt very dismissive and wasteful of my time. That said, all of the people I spoke to were very friendly and the overall interview with the hiring manager and the assignment were standard.
