I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Red Hat in Mar 2021
Interview
After applying for their open position I received a call from their Talent Acquisition Manager with whom I talked for half an hour. The Talent Acquisition manager told me that I have great open source and K8S experience(required for the position) and if their Engineers like my profile, they will invite me to the next interview. I got invited for the next interview and it went pretty well and also, in the end, the Red Hat engineers said, I was very well prepared and there was nothing leaving them with hesitancy with having me for the position. I sent an email thanking them for the opportunity to talk to them and that I was waiting for feedback. After more than two weeks of waiting for the feedback, I got a standard rejection email contradicting everything they had told me during the process/calls.
It's very unpleasant to hear nice "feedback" during the process/calls, be in the dark for weeks waiting for formal feedback, and then receive a nonsense rejection email.
