Superday-esque. Straightforward and offered some insight into what expectations are at the company. Nice campus tour and good interactions with different types of roles at the company. Couple of analytical interviews and 1 larger case interview with other interviewees
I applied through university. I interviewed at Red Ventures (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2016
Interview
I started by applying online after attending an info session at my university. The on-campus interview was about two weeks later, and consisted of one behavioral and one case. Both were relatively straightforward- the case was fill in the blank mental math and both were very focused on getting to know me. I was invited to interview on-site the next day, and set up a time to visit their campus in south Charlotte another two weeks later. The on-site interview consisted of a dinner in Uptown Charlotte the night before with a few members of the college recruiting team, employees, and the other candidates. It was very laid back and everyone was really friendly. The super day itself lasted about 4.5 hours and consisted of a personal tour of their campus with an associate, two case interviews, a behavioral case, and an excel case. The excel case can be in a group or by yourself, depending on what day you're there (I was by myself for mine, with an interviewer in the room to answer questions for a few minutes and then time to prepare. You present to a senior leader at the end). Everyone was really great about making me feel at ease throughout the process, and they're DEFINITELY looking for a culture fit. If you enjoy the interview process and get along well with the people you'll love RV. The cases they have you work on are more or less simplified versions of actual business problems (and understanding them is the best way to figure out what RV does). If not, it's probably not for you and that's fine too!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lots of questions about my resume and interests, trying to get to know me!
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Red Ventures
Interview
Applied online after my universities career fair. Very simple and straightforward first HR interview, followed by a case interview with some simple mental math and analysis. Final round was a superday at the headquarters, with a tour followed by three 30 min interviews and one long group interview with Excel
I applied through university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Red Ventures (Charlotte, NC) in Dec 2018
Interview
I applied through my university portal. I was contacted a few weeks later asking to choose a time for an initial call. We had a very brief call with some behavioral questions. I was informed soon after that they wanted to do another call, this time a case interview. The case interview consisted of a sales funnel, running percentage questions down a funnel and asking why I thought certain things could be the way they are. For example, how would signups for a phone plan differ over the internet than over the phone?
After that, I was invited to a final interview in Charlotte on campus. They began with a tour of the campus, and eventually I had three back-to-back interviews. Two were brief cases similar to the ones I did before with behavioral sprinkled throughout. One was more a discussion about how I would run my own business considering different factors. Finally, there was an excel case, where we were given numbers in excel and had to fill in profits/figures and create simple equations. We then had to discuss our findings.
I was contacted a few days later with an offer. Overall, it was a relatively easy interview process, and they took good care of the people they interviewed. It's a very cool, young company and everyone who interviewed seemed to really enjoy their jobs.
