Mediocre experience, would not recommend the team to anyone. Company however is not bad. Phone interview with Hiring manager went well, was invited to onsite interview. Panel interview with presentation and questions on my research work on the day of interview. It was going ok until I met the Associate Director. She was cold, unfriendly, arrogant, and acted like everyone was beneath her. She was Russian, so she had that typical Russian attitude. She was the star of the department as she published and pushed a lot of key pipeline drugs forward. But I knew working with her would be a nightmare. I rather work with someone congenial and approachable. Definitely would not recommend this specific team to anyone else applying.
The interview has multiple steps with an initial interview with HR followed by an interview with your perspective supervisor. Its very fair, and relevant to the position. Just be yourself and you will be okay.
HR call followed by HM interview, and a full panel interview with a 1hr presentation. HR said would ask for 5 references if one was selected after the full panel interview. And also were saying something like we value your time and would follow up within 2 weeks or so just to give you updates... I went through the full panel interview months ago. But never heard back since then. I sent an email to HR to follow up, the HR said they would call, but never did. I guess I was not selected, but it was not very professional to just ghost candidates like this.

Interview
First was just a screening call with HR and then a scheduled virtual interview with the hiring manager. Next was an onsite panel interview with a presentation and the final round was an interview with the department’s VP. Overall a good experience, asked fair technical questions and questions about my working style. They tried to make the process quick and easy, which was appreciated, with an official offer sent less than a week after the final interview.
