I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Remedy Entertainment in May 2024
Interview
We jumped on a zoom call and proceeded to have a casual chat. We went over my portfolio and the design process, while they asked follow-up questions on my work. Nearing the end I asked questions to them. Generally they were nice to chat with!
When I asked about a follow-up after the interview, they said that I would get an answer "very soon" so I felt that it was promising. However when I got an email from the recruiter, they said that they didn't have permission to open the role yet and couldn't make the offer, which was a bit of a shame since it did seem like it would be a great match.

Question 1
What was one of the things you've learned in the process of making your level?
-> Filled the application on the website
-> Received the interview test in a form of a PDF file
-> Test consisted of theoretical coding and practical prototyping exercises. Besides the playable prototype, the second part required documents revealing the design intention, design spec and post mortem.
-> Interview call
-> Email informing about the results
Event though, the interview went well, I was considered overqualified. Because the company was looking for students.

Interview
Interviewed through a recruiting company, took a long time to hear from them and the process lasted multiple weeks. The reason why I wasn’t chosen was told to be that the team loved someone else, so me being more senior did not matter.
