I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ReviewTrackers in Jan 2022
Interview
Very straightforward process! A 1:1 with the hiring manager, take-home coding assignment, and then a 2-hour round of interviews where you meet several team members, someone from HR, and the VP. Everyone was super nice and welcoming, plus they were pretty quick to send updates at every step of the process. It took 3-ish weeks for me to complete all the steps, but that's because it was around the winter holidays. Any other time of year, I'd estimate the entire process would take about 2 weeks, or less
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What coding languages have you worked with? What do you look for in a team? Code up a mock API endpoint. Walk through how you'll fix this small bug we found in your code.

Interview
Started with a phone screen , I really enjoyed talking to the SWE lead. So I thought this would be a great process .The next day I received a coding assessment with 3 days to finish. Im not happy with the fact that I was told to ask questions if needed , had a couple questions , very reasonable . But I was straight up ignored which is unprofessional in my opinion. I don’t know what that’s about but I just assumed it wasn’t the place for me
Thank you for the feedback on your experience. While we do our best to ensure a smooth interview process, clearly we missed the mark on your experience. I am sorry that we didn't respond and get back to you in a timely manner. I have spoken with the hiring manager for this role and have made changes to ensure we get back to candidates quickly. Thank you again for your interest in ReviewTrackers.

Interview
I applied online and a day later I received an email to schedule a phone call with the VP of Engineering for that same week.
The phone call was fairly casual with the intent to learn my background, interests and where I was in my interview process. I also had the chance to learn more about the company, engineering team, etc. After the call, I was given a React code challenge to be completed in 5 business days.
I submitted the code challenge and although it was the week of 4th of July (I expected a delay), ReviewTrackers still kept me informed that it will be reviewed the following Monday. After passing the code challenge I was invited for an on-site interview that same week.
The on-site interview was in 3 parts which consisted of meeting the Senior Backend Engineers, the VP of Product and lastly with the VP of Engineering and Lead Engineer. Each meeting was very conversational and they balanced learning not only my exposure to certain technologies as well as my interests outside of programming. The last meeting focused more on reviewing my code challenge and areas where I could’ve improved. Before leaving the office, the VP of Engineering informed me that while they were still interviewing others, if I had competing timelines to please let them know.
A week later, I received follow-up to schedule a phone call with their CEO. The call inquired why I wanted to work at ReviewTrackers, the feedback he received from the team and any standing questions I had for him. About an hour after this call, I received an offer from the VP of Engineering.
I can testify that this has been the best interview process I’ve experienced. Sam, as others have mentioned, was extremely prompt in her responses and transparent just like all the other team members I communicated with. Their process should be considered the golden standard!
I am so happy to hear that this was the best interview experience you've ever had! I appreciate the time you took to connect with our team and to go through the interview process. You’re right about our recruiter; she does a great job of helping attract top talent and making the interview process as productive and efficient as possible.
