      Corporate Flight Attendant Interview

      1 Nov 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds in Oct 2016

      Interview

The testing was repetitive and unnecessary. You take the initial 2-3 hour assessment and quizzes (which is fine, I get that some of the information is useful..) and then you are told to come into the office for an interview and another assessment. You're probably thinking "Great! A different assessment more closely matched to the position I am applying for!".... no. It is the EXACT same assessment, except this time you get to drive an hour away to take it. The interview process was also very disorganized - it is a Skype interview with seemingly entry-level recruiters in College Station, TX. I agree it is disorganized because I waited 15 minutes in the room for the Skype call, the entry level recruit was organizing her desk and note pad (not prepared) and the questions were very basic interview questions (strengths, weaknesses, reasons you are fit for the position). I did not get to pass the interviewer my resume, cover letter, or supporting documents I have received from my employer that would help me stand out from the other applicants. Why not? Because it was all through a television/camera setup, which I might add does not help everyone applying. I felt it was not at all personable and did not feel confident after leaving the interview. I was told I was moving to the next step and to wait for an email from the recruiter (who also did not supply me with her email for a thank you letter, which I sent to the general recruiting email). I never did receive a call but finally after a week received an email that they have changed their mind about moving forward in the process with me - NO FURTHER EXPLANATION. As a professional in the business aviation industry (I know this company is not that- but the position is relative), I would expect a more formal and professional interview process, and not with an entry level HR Recruit who, IMHO, did not have the competence in her field or about the position itself to field the questions and/or answers to my questions. She just insisted on me saving all of my questions for the next step/interview that I "would be proceeding to". Do not have a good taste of this company and am sorry about it because I was really looking forward to the next step until I received an email contradicting the interviewers statements. Makes you really question the honesty of a company as such. Also: I had done a LOT of extensive research on this company and was not once asked if I knew about REYNOLDS AND REYNOLDS. Basically, she read a script off of her computer generalizing such a large Fortune 500 company that did not even sound appealing. I think HR needs to work on the interview process a little more. Disappointed.
