I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rhino Mkt (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I applied online, and got an email a week later requesting an in-person interview. I replied back with a date and time and it was confirmed.
Went to the interview and the majority of the time I was there the owner was on the phone with clients.
He talked a lot about creating the company and the position he was trying to fill. He came off as egotistical and loud, but I'm use to that. He kept going off on a tangent by going into detail about why he charges little fees like set-up fees and how he's proud he doesn't offer certain benefits like tuition assistance. The interview was more like a presentation than an interview.
He did let it drop that the company is moving to Poway in one year.
I could barely participate in the conversation with himself to try and sell myself since he kept interrupting me especially since I had several years of experience working in a similar environment doing similar work and I had all the software know-how.
Interview ended with me getting a tour of the place from one of his workers. Everyone else there seemed down to earth. It was a warehouse connected to an office and they had a second warehouse in the plaza a building or two over.
Company doesn't really have any kind of employee gatherings like potlucks or parties. I thought that was strange but not a prerequisite.
