I recently went through an interview process with Riskified, and unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing, to say the least. Several years ago, I had an interview with them that didn't leave a positive impression, but I decided to give them another chance when approached for a more senior role.
The process started with the team in Tel-Aviv reaching out to me for a higher-level position. I was asked to submit writing examples, which I promptly did. However, after submitting the requested materials, I never received any feedback or acknowledgment. After patiently waiting for two weeks, I took the initiative to inquire about the status of my application.
Regrettably, my follow-up did not yield any response, leaving me in a state of uncertainty for an entire month. Eventually, I received a generic email stating that the role was no longer available. The lack of communication throughout the six-week process was disheartening, making it feel as if my time and effort were not valued.
This experience has left me with the impression that Riskified does not prioritize clear and timely communication with candidates. Given the importance of effective communication in the hiring process, it has raised concerns about the work culture at Riskified. Unfortunately, based on my experiences, I would hesitate to consider working in such an environment.
Prospective candidates should be aware of these aspects when considering opportunities with Riskified.
