I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rockefeller University (New York, NY) in Mar 2018
Interview
After an employee referral, I was put in touch with the postdoc in the lab. A few emails back and forth with the postdoc lead to her connecting me with an HR rep that set up an in-person interview within a couple of days. In-person interview consisted of a one-on-one interview with the postdoc, a tour of lab and conversation with other lab members, and a one-on-one interview with the HR rep. Interviewed for a total of 3 hours.

Question 1
What relevant experience I had, what I was hoping to get out of the position, if I was comfortable working with mice.
Very simple, one interview with HR, second interview with hiring manager. Then waited for 1 month and received the offer letter. The HR person first came to college to talk about the University

why do you want to work at Rockefeller University?
This is a very professional and organized interview. First HR interview and then lab will reach out. Easy application and follow up steps. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into research.

Interview with HR initially. If all goes well, they give a form to fill out where you select particular labs you are interested in. Hiring manager from a particular lab reaches out for an interview.
